The company goes from strength to strength - and the family still remain very much at its heart. Richard and James Hurrans, great grandsons of Alfred, oversee operations from head office whilst their father, Arthur retains an active role as Chairman of the company. And there's even some 'young' Hurrans waiting in the wings to take over the mantle in years to come!
The company's main activity is now one of retailing - not 'green-fingered' growing - and the product range is in three main categories:
* Horticultural sundries and allied gifts
* Outdoor plants for the garden
* Houseplants
However, some branches have a variety of concessions who sell goods (or provide services) which complement our own product range.
Now we place great emphasis on the selection of high quality products and personal service backed by a horticulturally trained staff - in conjunction with a selectively aggressive pricing and merchandising policy.
